Mac Miller Sued for $10 Million for Sample on Macadelic

Mac Miller is once again being sued. After being sued by Lord Finesse for his sample used in Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza. Mac is now being sued by Warm Speakers for the same reason. Mac used Warm Speakers' "The World Around You" in his song "Fuck 'Em All," on the Macadelic mixtape and now Warm Speakers' aka Patrick Berlinquette wants $10 million for it.

Berlinquette is suing for willful infringement; violation of Copyright Law and New York's General Business Law, and is seeking permanent injunction, and states, "[Miller] uses other people's music because it's easier, cheaper, and faster than creating his own. Miller seeks to capitalize on the common misconception in Copyright Law that people whose music he takes have no remedy if he gives their music away for free."

Stay tuned when more information becomes availble we will have you covered. - Nora Hassan (@Nora_TheCOM)
